I recently came across a new language via the DreamSpark homepage called Small Basic. It’s a simplified implementation of BASIC aimed of people looking to begin programming.

It looked pretty neat so I decided to try and create a clone of  Tic Tac Toe.

Here’s what I came up with:

Ok, it’s not the best thing ever but the base mechanics and winning conditions are there and it works and that’s all that matter. No bad for less than an hours work eh.

I’ll upload the code later on when I get time to clean it up abit.

Just got Splinter Cell Conviction Collectors Edition for £7.98

Just bought GameBoid (a GBA emulator) for my android phone  for around £2.50 and it’s pretty sweet.

What will DANCHEW do?

So far I’ve only been playing Pokemon Fire Red but once I’ve beaten the Elite Four I’ll probably go and play Advance Wars.

There’s also a application on the Market called ROM Gripper which works together with all of the emulators by developer yongzh that allows you to search and download ROMs straight from your phone.

Got one of them new Xbox 360 Slim 250gb the other day, had it for less than 24 hours before it decided to red ring (red dot technically) on me, so I took that back to Game and got a new one.

It was a real shame cause I had completed Medal of Honor on the first machine so I lost all of my saves. This meant I had to complete it again to get the other trophies. But this time I decided to do it with pistol only since you get unlimited ammo for it anyways. So I did that and I’ve been playing the multi-player since. Only 8 trophies left til I’ve achieved all there is to achieve.

Got Halo Reach today, been on that with Medy who also brought it after mine arrived. Played a few hours with Adam on Slayer mode, it’s pretty fun. In other news it’s been over 24 hours and my Xbox is still alive, seems to be working better than the last one. Hehehe
